I am a doula because I had a doula.

I know just how transformative it is to be held by someone who sees and understands the beauty and importance of labour, birth and the postnatal period within but also beyond the medical event.

For me, the birth of your baby goes far beyond the physical event.
It is an emotional, mental and logistical transition that will take you to places you have never been and leave you in a place that’s totally new. Joyful, yes, but also intense and challenging … but with the right support, it should never feel like a struggle.
