Antenatal classes in Cornwall: why go private?

A pair of expectant parents talk about their hopes and fears for birth during a Born to Birth private antenatal class in Cornwall

When it comes to the birth of your baby, no one matters more than you. Private antenatal classes allow me focus on this 100% from start to finish.

As a doula, I know that birth is far more than a physical process: it’s emotional, logistical and cultural; this combination is what makes your journey to parenthood totally unique.

Though my group antenatal class is personalised, it will ever completely meet your individual needs. But when it’s just us, I can.

That’s why private antenatal classes are such a core part of what I do. Working with you, either in your own home, at a time to suit you, we will:

  • cover a course filled with the content that’s relevant to you

  • at a time that works for you

  • in a style that helps you learn best

It’s like meeting a stranger and never wanting them to leave! The activities were prepared in the BEST way. Getting us to do basic things like prepping formula really gets you thinking about those tasks that you assume are going to be easy but haven’t really given much thought to.

An antenatal class built around you …

As a working birth doula, I know how important you are in your birth experience: from the knowledge you have, to the skills you practice and the confidence you possess, everything has the power to influence your birth experience.

This is not a time for compromise: giving you the information & skill to help you navigate your birth and baby adventure is my absolute priority; that’s why these packages exist.

Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, when you first get in touch with me to chat about your antenatal options, I’ll ask the questions that’ll help me to create a private antenatal course that really meets your needs. Whether you want a structured course from the menu below, or fancy creating a totally bespoke one, we won’t sign on the dotted line until we are both confident that your selection will leave you feeling ready for birth.

What I found most useful was the opportunity to pick what subjects matter to us, what we as a couple wanted to explore, what questions we would like answered ...no judgement, no biased approaches, no blinkered approach. I feel so empowered by the classes that I am excited to give birth.

Absolutely brilliant, we loved working with you. We were always so excited for our next session and gutted on our last, that we weren’t going to see you again. I would 100% recommend your classes to anyone.

You are awesome at working in a way which suited us, the activities allowed us to get a deeper understanding in all topics... I couldn’t honestly pick a particular bit because we enjoyed it all!

The only thing I would do differently would be, now that I know how amazing your classes are, I would not have wasted time or money on other classes, instead I would invest in your services further.
